Finally Fixed that Damn Poping Noise!!!

So while doing an oil change and looking for a leak, I noticed one of the bolts for the power steering rack was loose. I could turn it by hand. I have had the front end pop for a while, but it would only happen every once in a while, and then it started doing it every time I went around a corner. I tightened both bolts on the rack, and took it for a spin. No more pop! I hope this helps anyone who has had the same issue and couldn't find it. I also cleaned and greased the sway bar bushings, so I think it was a combination of both things. She has 161,000 on her and still solid and running strong.

Funny you should mention that. Family member just had the same thing happen to their Lexus Rx. Took the shop 3 times to pin down the noise.

i had an rx300 that always had that popping sound, basically when the wheel was turned fully and on a decline/incline..

took it to 3 mechanics, never figured it out.. sold it though..
