Sold my 96 I brought back to life, 2 months later located this one.
Lots of cleaning, new stage 2 clutch, radiator, rancho shocks, compressor and associated parts, kept stock with R12, R/R interior carpet, tinted windows and cleaned some more. Heading into month 3, got lots of ideas planned before taking her into the mud. Thanks all for providing so much useful info here!

But man is that one awesome 1st gen! :D 22re or a 3vze?

I love that color. There is an older ex mayor of a local town had a extended cab 2wd in a blue like that. Beautiful truck. Never seen another one that color.

Tr4

thanks for the compliments.
3.0l version, wanted the 22re but took what I could get.
yes, 3" body lift.
Was purchased and lived in CA for the first 22 years, then made it to the east coast so no body rust at all.
The color is different but whomever painted didn't do a real good job as its peeling in places.

7. Installed Class III hitch, used
8. Added chrome dual resonator tip (PO installed some sort of turbo muffler)
9. Added viper alarm w/keyless entry

Finally tested in Mud

Well the wife did most of the testing while I did all the cleaning and paid for the repairs. She only got stuck once but thought for sure she was gonna blow the 3.0.
After effects:
1. Front main seal and dust cover, thermostat, misc... shop payment
2. New tie rods, idler arm and pitman arm
3. New rear brake shoes and master cylinders, definitely needed the old brake fluid purged, looked like oil it was so dark.
4. 1983 era Alpine (old school) am/fm cassette. Just need some early 80's cassette's and I'll feel young again.
5. Got some bushwacker flares off CL, awaiting mounting kit
6. Have a pair of CV axles sitting in boxes, just need time to replace the old ones

Turning back into mall crawler for while
