So here she is. I found her on Monday and have been stoked ever since. I finally took some photos. 3rd gen, Black '99 with 100k miles. Previous owner bought her new and was a soccer mom! I doubt she's ever been off road. I won't say what I paid cause it will just make you jealous :)
Here are the first photos. Plans are to first take the running boards off. Going to take her fishing this weekend on a little dirt road above Deer Creek.

(Need to learn how to attach photos inside the post instead of attachments)

I have no clue about wheels or tires, but i have to admit these rims look almost new...Makes me wonder where they came from

My first fix, after i take the running boards off, will be to fix this antenna, well actually replace it

Here's a shot of the engine, I don't see any modifications, then again, I don't really know what to look for.

Thanks man, did you go to the U? i just graduated in May this is my graduation present to myself.

Ironically, i found this 4runner up in Layton, its about an hour drive up there, well worth the trip. Just took the running boards off tonight. It looks soo much better.

Do the Utah t4r owners get together to do some trails? I am taking her out for a nice little spin on a trail above Deer Creek tomorrow. There's a river that feeds into deer creek that i plan on fishing.

My wife went to the U and we are season ticket holders for football. Go Utes! Anyway, if you check that link I posted you will find threads about folks doing some trails. A couple of us did Skyline a couple weeks ago and we may be doing one on the 22nd of this month.

Been debating about replacing the broken antenna with the tacoma whip antenna. I might just save some money and replace the part. i think the motor is still good cause i hear it going every time i turn on and off the radio.

Last night i took the runners off. Here's the new look:

Totally down with doing a trail on the 22nd. Just got back from driving up Provo Canyon up to Sundance and Steward Falls. Great little drive with the wife.

just saw a post from another thread and had to check out everything. Your rig loos great man. I've probably seen you before seems in how you live literally down the street from me

@ GottabeTRD

absolutely love your rig, i was reading your thread just the other night (haven't finished reading it though). I wanna try that black fabric thing you did on the interior, looks pretty sweet from the photos.

I have probably seen you around too. Right now I have my Thule carrier on, so if you have seen a pretty stock black runner with a carrier - that's likely me.

I just found that Utah Desert 4runner forum yesterday, hopefully the other UT guys get their rigs up and running so we can do a get together of some sort.

Thanks, I really appreciate it man, and let me know if you need a hand on anything.

The fabric dye is pretty cool stuff and it's a nice quick fix to change the look. I think I'm going to just re-upholster it later on, but for now this works.

That forum is pretty good, i missed their last run but i cant wait to get a good run in with everyone.
