Finally getting a set!

Saturday my Revo's are being put on! I can't wait!! I wasn't even going to get them yet because I only have about 24,000 mi on the Dunflops but I couldn't pass the deal up.

I went to a local shop with my buddy the other day because he needed to replace one of his Firestone MT's. I was just joking around saying how bad I wanted the Revo's and the guy at the counter told us they were running a deal on the 265x70x17's. $695 installed for 4! I couldn't help myself, like a kid in a candy store, I was sold.

Now my only dilema, white lettering or blackwall out? I'm thinking the white lettering though. What do you guys think looks better on a black runner?

With the sport, I think white lettering out looks best.

Nice. I think you'll be real happy with those tires. I've had mine on for about 15K and they are wonderful tires in all conditions (except mud). On your 4R I say go for the white letters out. Enjoy.

The opinon seems to be that on a Sport Edition, the White Lettering looks best.

I guess I'll stray from the norm. I used to think I liked the white letters out, and when I almost got Revos, I was going to go with that choice. I ended up getting Terra Grapplers, which don't give you a choice- black all around. BUT . . . . if you are going for a true off-road vehicle look, put the black letters out. It will look more aggressive, especially if you get a lift.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm thinking I'm going to do the white letters out. Since the whole 4Runner is already black the white adds a little color to it. I agree with you though ksneubec the blackwall does look more "offroadish". That's the only thing I don't like about the white lettering is that it makes the sidewall appear shorter. I can't wait until Saturday!

I have blackwalls out and I think it looks great. Don't have to worry about cleaning it, not that I do anyway.

That's a good price for a set of Revos now. I got 5 unmounted for $700 last summer (spring?). The prices really jumped in price in Dec.

Yeah I just read through that one. I do like the looks of blackwall out. Dang it Bobby! I thought I knew what I wanted but you had to mess it up . So you got them for $140 a tire, that's pretty awesome. I couldn't pass up $150 a tire either. I'm going to go look at some pics of your Runner to the blackwall look.

Well, I got them on this morning and they look awesome! They look so much bigger then the Dunlops too. I know they're only about an inch taller but they look more then that!

Going against the grain here...I've got a Black 04 SR5, and I wouldn't have it any other way than black out!!!
