Finally going to remove my XREAS and go with 5100's...

When my half shafts were replaced I think my mechanic opened up my XREAS as now the system definitely has a thud in the front. That being said at over 200k the ride isn't what it used to be.

I'm going to install 5100's and read that (using the SEARCH) that the fronts are adjustable. Will the .85 setting get the 4R almost level?

I plan on keeping my truck another 50k or so and don't plan on changing the springs. 90% of my driving is interstate so I'm assuming the shocks will be enough to improve the ride quality?

.085 will leave you with stock rake look , if don't care for that try next 2 settings you will have 4 total . Check lift & tire thread for pics !

I do want as much as the stock rake out as possible... Looks like .85 is out!

Jeff T, believe it or not about 2 1/2 yrs ago I bought our 4runner off of a guy who just moved here from Chicago. Got a good deal on it! We drove it 65k miles since then.

Cpl places check Arks suspension faq thread, sometimes bilstein has sellers & also tell you if they are backordered . Off the top of my head wheelers off road decent or even amazon ,shockwarehouse, shox.com ,tirerack, allshocks, ajusa ?

Ajusa had the cheapest price for 5100's.

Putting the 5100 front on the middle slot will make it basically level.

You can unhook both sides with the front off the ground. Once unhooked pivot it up and zip tie it out of the way.

i meant unhooking off the spindle and just lifting it up to the fender liner to be out of the way. Very simple. I should have explained it better.

I did search, I just didn't recall the sway needing to be disconnected. Hence the post.

I didn't mean to sound mean or anything there, just seemed to me that you wasn't quite familar with all what to exspect in this proceedure. My appologies.

Removing the sway bar just make it a bit easier to move things around out of your way, plus keep it from damages in the procedure.
