I'm 25, from Georgia, living in So Cal, and I've wanted a 3rd Gen since early high school... and two days ago I finally got one.
I bought it to replace my 2005 Nissan Frontier NISMO that I used to off-road with pretty well, it's got a stock locker in the rear and the engine is pretty powerful, but the engine blew at 93k miles and the Catalytic converter went out around the same time so after replacing those things myself I decided to throw in the towel on Nissan and just finally get a Toyota like I always wanted. I got a 2WD this time so I won't be tempted to get crazy in it.
What's this community like? The guys at ClubFrontier are super nice people and we've all very helpful with each other, is it similar here?

I actually already took it through a little bumpy dirt trail to see how it holds up, and I gotta say I am very impressed. I needed something basic/reliable, yet off-road capable for hauling a dirt bike.
