Hi guys,

Finally pick-up a used 2006 ltd runner yesterday...only 55K. It's a leased returned and she's a beauty.

Driving last night, all the controls is well lit except for the temp control. This is the middle one for dual control. Is this normal or do i have a burnt bulb?

IS it easy fix? replace? Your comment/advice is much appreciated.

Pretty easy to fix. It should be a $5 bulb from the dealer. I don't have the dual control on my SR5, but I did have to replace the middle AC/Auto control bulb.

You have to take the dash apart starting from the center console.

Here is a link of how to take the dash apart. You do not need to take the driver side kick panel off though. That would only be for replacing the stereo. Let me know if you have any questions. You should only need to take out one screw, which is behind the storage compartment in front of the shifter.

Do Step 1 and Step 2
Skip Step 3
Go to 2nd Picture on Step 4
Once you pop to control unit out you should be good to go.

BTW, is it the orange glow behind the entire knob, or just the "Dual" button?

just remove the storage door, it pulls right out, remove the screw , then give a hard yank on the bottom of the hvac control panel & it will pop out, then unplug & replace bulbs.

Looks like it's been covered. I had the same problem on mine when I bought it a couple months back. Easy fix, bulbs were like $3 for the ones I needed (it was the one behind the digital display though). Congratz on the new 4runner!
