Finally got the Runner back!

Congrats on the new engine. I cant wait to get my swap done. I want to get out into the snow super bad. Hows the power on the fresh engine.

Much better, although that's a given since the last one had no compression and was burning oil.

3.0 if i remember correctly right? Did you punch it out or anything or is it just a total stock rebuild?

It's a 3.0. I just bought a whole new block

I told you man, run your vin through Toyota. They did a recall on tie rods. Mine has that available to it

It's a 3.0. I just bought a whole new block

It stupidly was, not just for the block but everything that got f-ed up afterwards.

I agree with [MENTION=128525]theking11863[/MENTION] you should get a new mechanic. Nothing should have gotten messed up they should have just pulled yours swapped over whatever needed to get swapped and dropped your engine in and plugged it in. I just picked up a 3.0 with what i was told had 150k. I traded a dana60 rear end that i got for $150 and my old rear end from my my parts truck that i wasn't going to use. Now im going to regasket it and do the timing set and drop her in my runner. Hopefully it will be back on the road my my birthday at the end of feb so i can go hit the trails.
