Finally leveled my rig!

So I got around to getting some 890 coils in the rear. After putting one side on I wasnt satisfied with the supposed 3"+ was suppose to get. It looked like I was only getting about 1.75inchs of lift, def not 3in like they say. My guess is toytec and Old Man Emu spec like 96 or 2000 when them made the mini coils after all the exploders rolling.

Anywho, decided to pull the 890's and reinsert my daystar 1.5in spaces back on top of them. Then I cranked another inch out of my from coilovers to level it out.

Here is before and after, This is a real 4runner now!

Love it. Easy install? Also, your runnin 255's right? Smaller than stock. Any reasoning behind that.

255s are skinnier than stock (by 10mm), but they are much taller (~33.5").

That tire sizing stuff confuses the hell out of me.:ybrick:
My winter tires are 245/70/r16 that puts me at skinnier than stock by 2cm and the rest is the same...right?

Metric tire sizes are kinda hard to understand. With a 255/85/16, the 1st # is the width (255mm). The next # is how tall the sidewall is in proportion to the width (so 85 is 85% of 255mm). 85% of 255 is 216mm (measured from the edge of the rim to the top of the tire).

With a stock tire (265/70/16), 70% of 265 is 185.5mm. Now, you have to double that # (so you get the edge of the rim to the bottom of the tire also) to get the total height difference. In other words, a 255/85/16 has 432mm of sidewall (top and bottom) while a 265/70/16 has 371mm. The difference is 61mm (or about 2.25" taller overall - and that's about the difference between a 31.2" and a 33.5" tire). Trust me, I like tire sizes in inches better too, but the rest of the world does it this way.
