Finally made some off-pavement today

It was fun not enough
Already two weeks with it.
Mods so far:
1) BFG KO2s in C load stock size
2) Black out emblems OEM kit
3) Plasti dipped front and rear valances [not satisfied with the result, may be will switch to Pro valances next year or so]
4) All weather mats + Husky cargo liner
5) The Four-Wheeler's Bible 3rd edition - preordered

Next going to buy some recovery equip and no more mods this year (may be plastidip wheels when weather will be warm, let's see).

Congrats on breaking your rig in! Just my two cents, but powder coat the wheels versus plasti dipping them. I think you will be much happier with the result.

I agree the $20 and the fact that it is temporary. But what I’ve learned over the years, is to either buy the original color you really like in a wheel, or powder coat them. There is such a big difference. I know you mentioned buying the OEM wheel, which is a terrific solution. But I powder coated my wheels many years ago on a sports car and it was no more than $40 a wheel, which is way less than the OEM wheels and the durability of the powder coating is quite good when applied properly. Even on an off-road wheel.

Sigh, here is Seattle powder coating is $120 per wheel. This is not something I cannot afford, I just feel it is unnecessary...

DIY powder coating will require: wheels assembling/disassembling, sanding, priming, coating, clear coating, lot of hassle, I just don't have time for this...

For DIY plastidip I need only plastidiping and nothing else.

Another point - correct, plasti dip is temporary, I'll have it for 2-3 years and after that just swap the wheels to OEM or any other - and that will refresh look of the 4R

What aren't you happy with about the plastidip on the bumper valances? I'm planning to do mine and just bought all the stuff for it..

Few things:
1) color does not match vehicle black color
2) For front valance I had not enough place and it was pretty cold, so I've got few drips here and there.
So it's mostly about my bad skills and cold weather.
Rear valance looks more or less good

So I may end up with swapping only front valance (especially it can be done without bumper disassembly)

You can also look at something called Trim Black, it comes in a spray can as well but it'll give it a different finish than plastidip

glad to see you also bought black color too. I worry a bit of my own black color as online says the color can fade easily compare to other colors

From my understanding it's clear coat is fading under ultra violet.
For black color it's just more visible.
So to return shine black there are polishing services, should not be too expensive.

Anyway I hope I'll not see it in nearest 5-7 years

How does the Husky cargo liner differ from stock cargo all-weather mat?

Nice truck, can never go wrong with black! If you are worried about paint fading, I've heard that regular application of wax can help alleviate the issue.

Also, from my experience, plastidip doesnt look as good as spray paint assuming you take the time to do it properly, and is an absolute pain to peel off if you leave it too long or dont apply it thick enough.

As an example, I spray painted some FJ wheels which looked amazing. I did 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of colour, and two coats of clear, and still spent more time removing the plastidip then I did painting.

How does the Husky cargo liner differ from stock cargo all-weather mat?

I did not have any all-weather liners in the car so I ordered
1) Set of OEM all-weather in-cabin liners for people's feet.
2) Husky cargo liner instead of OEM because:
a) It was cheaper
b) It has tall sides - so is able to keep something liquid inside.
What I can tell that material of Husky cargo liner is shit - it is more plastic than rubber but it does it's work, so I don't care...

No, I don't worry about fading. By the time it will happen my rig will have so many mods and so many dings from off road that I will care even less

There are few pros of plastidip:
1) It is already in my garage
2) It is dirt cheap
3) If something go wrong (I'm sure it will), it can be peeled off (I put thick coats (like 7 coats or so)),
