Nice. Reminds me of my old S-10 Blazer (don't take that wrong). I had it all blacked out and drove it for a lot of years. I loved it. Yes it was a pain to keep clean, but it was a sweet truck in those days and it was worth the effort for me and I truly enjoyed the time and work I put into that thing.
One guy said to me, "Man, that must be a pain to keep looking nice eh?" I said, "Uh... yeah... but...." and he finished for me, "Yeah but, nothing looks better than a black truck if you take the time to keep it clean."
I agreed with him of course. If black weren't so hard to keep clean I would have never bought another colored vehicle. If I were still in my 20's and had the energy and enthusiasm to polish my truck every Saturday like the old days then I'd be all over a black one like yours. They look great.
Whether people like it or not, you have to admit that it is always cool to see a vehicle like this that is so popular and everywhere like the T4R, but that somebody has put the time and effort into making it truly unique and giving it those personal touches that make it stand out like yours does. Very cool and nicely done.

thanks for the compliments. these pictures were just after a washing with dish soap...claying...waxing and then hand rubbing out the swirls and issues with the wax. if you haven't clayed your T4R, for sure do it. I have only done it once and man it makes a huge difference. from rough to the touch to glass and can't keep a microfiber towel to stay on the hood. it is a pain in the ass to keep clean but in AZ it isn't too bad since it rains about 3 inches a year. That is why the tint is soo dark too. they don't care out here. next mod is the suspension and then i was thinking about lights down by the skid plate but just above it.
I'm sorry what is a murdered out look? Everything all blacked out??

Once you have a term for the trend it's not so unique anymore and "murdered out" vehicles aren't hard to find;go ask fo-sheezy. :dancin:
Murdered out looks cool but I've seen more than a few 2nd,3rd and 4th gen Runners all blacked out and am now waiting for a 5th gen to appear.

Where did you get those headlights from?? or did you do them yourself??
I have a black 4runner and I agree that its hard to keep clean, luckily I work at a dealership and get details dirt cheap....

Nah, that's not 5%, I have 5% on my front windows, 5% over the already pretty dark stock tint on all the back windows and 30% all the way down the windshield and you can def tell when its 5%, you can't see in at all. I have a tint prescription though and just got to use it a couple months ago for the first time, and I loved the cops reaction when I showed it to him.
it is 5% limo tint all the way around. i live in phoenix area so they don't care. they do care about the tail lights though, so i can't decide to smoke them or not. i haven't seen very many urban runners out here. just lots of white t4rs. everyone out here loves white i guess
i did the headlights myself. i baked the headlights and took them apart and then painted them and put them back together. it took about 2 hours total its not hard at all. just a little tedious

I love black, but every time I think about the work it takes to keep it looking good, I shudder at the thought...
And as much as I hate to say it, you should snap a few pics with some Armor All on the tires, especially since you have black wheels to go with your black paint. I never put any tire dressing on my own tires, but yours would look sick with glossy black tires to go along with everything else. Just don't tell anyone I told you to put tire dressing on a 4Runner, okay
