Finally splurged!!!

After all these months of painstaking research and info gathering, I finally took the leap and bought me some Micky Thompson MTZ 265/70/17. Also got me the 2.5" leveling kit for the front so we are riding level.

I got an email from 4wheel parts.com saying that they have a two day only rebate special on Mickeys which ended today @3pm. Had to pull the trigger on this once a year rebate special. The sales guy even took off an additional $150 off the whole price once I gave him my "are you serious...thats the price" look. To think they have that much play in the price. I think I got a good deal.

Bad news:
The guy who runs the spring compression tool is out on vacation all of next week so I gots to wait till 5/27 to install =(

Are you putting them on factory rims?

yeah....my stock sport rims. Couldnt see forking out another $2K for some rims. Since my rims are flaking (i think it is from the salt air, but dunno) I wanted to powdercoat them b4 I install my new tires. The problem is that it takes a week and they only want the rim. I need to find a set of 4 tires to roll around in while my stock rims get p'coated =(.....not sure who has four extra wheels that will fit my 4R.....dont know if I will be able to pull the p'coat off b4 the install=(

Tomorrows the big day.....I get my tires installed and my leveling kit.

Although I wish it were icon coilovers with body lift with 36x13.5x20" tires. One day....hurry up BlairB...I want to see what it looks like....haha!

I will post some before and after pix....probably going to take off my side steps as well....stay tuned!!
