Finally....TailLIghts are in!!

Looking good, much much better then stock.

the stock lights are pink and not attractive, anything in my book is better then the stock. It was the only thing i disliked about my 4runner when i purchased mine. Also to me these are not altezza lights. They are the same configuration as the stock lights, the only difference is the background color and the tail light lens is not tinted that peachy red color. Here is a crappy picture of my black ones. I need to get some updated pictures of my ride.

I agree.....impulsebrklyn where did get those black ones? are they the japan versions that I've seen for ~$400? They look GREAT on your black Runner.

... i am going to paint the red reflectors on the bumper white so it will clean it up a bit. You might think about painting yours silver. Ive seen a thread were someone painted theres the same color as the runner and it looked really good. I actually think it was a silver one if im not mistaken. .

Then you must not have noticed a pink hugh to yours. That has bugged a lot of people. I opted to keep mine though too and accent them with the chrome trim. I think it all comes down to personal taste......some like um......some don't. We all live in dramatically different parts of the country and "in style" can vary by region, shoot even what circles we hang out in.

that's right, if they don't like it, let 'em hate. but lux is right. i don't like the pink tint.

so i got some, but of the gunmetal variety

I use to think the same. I had the Genuine JDM Black tail lights. They looked great at first, but after a while, I didn't like the look anymore. I sold them and put my original tails back in. I've been more happy than ever with the original tails for quite a while now. The tacoma uses the same style of lights. IMO, they're quite good looking. Now it seems like every new vehicle has adpted the solid red and white tails (including the 06 T4R). Yeah, it looks nice, but after a while they all look the same.

It may also be because I have a white truck though. The original tails look nice on white. On a darker color, they probably wouldn't fit though.

Me too. But I've got the chrome trim on them. I'm contemplating switching it to the black tails now.....but that would require some finese getting them (chrome trims) off and also buying some new 3M auto tape stuff. I still haven't decided if I'll like the look. I think what I'll end up doing is swaping back and forth.
