Finally

I finally got my first 4 runner a few weeks ago, a 2001 SR5. I've had a couple of Land Cruisers in the past--1970FJ40 and a 1991. Had wanted a 4runner for years, but I had some rental property that always required me to have a full size pickup. Now that it has sold, the F-150 sold as well. Looking forward to getting my new ride spruced up. This is a great group, seem to be able to find the answers to almost any question in here!

So far I have been doing basic maintenance on it. It needed new tires immediately, the plugs had never been changed, the MAF sensor was dirty and throwing a code, and I had to put a hitch on it. Things in the queue include replacing the front bumper, sandblasting and painting the rims and more fluid changes. Overall, I've been really happy with it so far.

Thanks! First order for me is always to get all the little annoying stuff fixed, dash lights out, interval wipers not working, etc... Then I'm hoping to do a mild build on it before we take it out west for a couple weeks. Hoping to improve the off road a bit without losing too much drivability.

Looks real nice! Cant wait to see what you got planned

Nice ride. I pass an early 2000’s LX leaving my neighborhood every day and I’ve stopped myself several times from making an offer just because I don’t have time to put in the work. Sounds like fun.
