Firestone alignment issue

Replaced suspensions, lower control arms, ball joints and putter tie rod on driver side. Passenger side tie rod end was not replaced due to a bad boot on the new one camelback sent me.

Firestone was unable to get the toe within spec on the passenger side. It is at .8 degrees. The jam nut is at the end of the threads on the passenger side. Driver jam nut has lots of adjustment left. Truck steering wheel is off a little and it’s pulling to the right. Looking for a new shop right now. Any thoughts?

Can try again? I have the firestone lifetime even though I've had some ad experances. Seems like high school kids just following a script. can always take to a pro that does it the old school way and knows his shit

Then take back to firestone later for fine touches.

Yup. Sometimes it’s not by the book but by experience. Someone who actually owns a vehicle with big tires and does wheel alignments.

That alignment is as bad as it gets.

He didn't touch the camber bolts, only adjusted tie rods and didn't do that right. If your truck can't be aligned properly you should know exactly why after paying someone qualified to do an alignment.

Go fish.

I have a thought. TAKE IT SOMEWHARE ELSE. The caster and camber on the right are out. They needs to be adjusted into spec FIRST then adjust the toe. Once the caster and camber are in your toe will be way out but I'll bet you get your adjustability range back. All they did was adjust the friggin toe.

First, you need to get the rack installed correctly. The rack should be in the middle of its available travel when the steering wheel is straight and the wheels should be pretty close to straight (or, at least even) when the L/R outer tie rod adjustments are the same. You may also want to verify your clock spring (behind the steering wheel) is also in the middle of its range if the steering rack install was messed up that bad.

After that's done, go to a real alignment shop. As others have said, you start with camber and caster (have them max the caster within the range), then do toe, then go back and make sure camber/caster are correct then re-do toe. Lather, rinse repeat, until both sides are all good. You want as close to 0 camber as you can get and as much caster (up to 3.2*) as you can get with whatever height you are at. This will get you the most clearance, best road feel and steering wheel centering as you can get. Up to at least 2" of lift, you should be able to get everything in spec without trouble.

Had some business to take care of in another part of town so I gave another firestone a shot. They got everything dialed in right in less than 45 minutes.
