I actually remember those. I looked at a 67 once and ended up buying a 1968 VW bug. It was pretty cheap and it felt like it was going to fall apart. The window did not crank up properly and the brakes were piss poor. Back then Datsun had a bit of a edge over Toyota. But in the 70's, Toyota really took off.
I think the Corolla is now the best selling car in the world, of course it is just in name only. The car has transformed from the rear drive thing you see in the picture to what it is now. I had a friend in the early 70's that drove a Corolla that had that ugly orange color. It was the second gereation model and it lasted forever.
