First gen 4R 88 clinometer

Guys, I can't find a good answer. Can you tell me which is the clinometer of the 4R 88 first generation?

The first ones looks like the Tercel one, I think that because it doesn't have altimeter.
The second looks like the one included in some versions of the first gen 4R, but the car in the slope meter looks like a Tercel.
The last one looks like the one in the second generation, and steering wheel in the right side apparently, the Surf model?

I can't get a good answer, sellers're selling all of them like the model which came with the first generation.

I didnt know there was one in the 2nd gen 4runner or Surf. First time i've seen one like that. Pretty cool

I was thinking about the digital altimeter/compass I bought for my 4th gen (the compass/compass is from a 3rd gen) and how/where to mount it. Anyway, I "lightly" researched them and I can say for sure that the first pic is from a Tercel. The last 2 are from SURFS. As far as wiring diagrams, look online for pinouts / schematics of them, they are floating out there! Good luck!

Looking at the plug (pic), yes, I stand corrected. I'm talking from the digital inclimeters/altimeter/compass/etc from later year LC and 3rd gen SURFs. too bad the Surfs and LC units are not completely independent.

You have it right. The third one was not sold on U.S. vehicles. They are asking a lot of money for them on eBay. Sellers seem to be in Australia and the middle east. I have the second one but I only paid $39. They're cool but not essential.

The second pic is of the inclinometer, but the U.S. ones were in feet not meters. I think 1987 was the last year inclinometers were available for the 1st Gen. 4runners, in the U.S. anyways.

I don't use mine. The altimeter is never accurate, and the clinometer is a distraction. When I'm tippy and the butthole is grabbing seatcloth, the last thing I want to know is that I'm over 30 degrees sideways.

I'm probably going to hollow it out and put some gauges in it.

The money the seller're asking it's a lot. Around $300.
I've heard that before, the're not essential, they're almost decorative, but they can cover very well the infamous crack in the dashboard!

i disagree about the altimeter. when traveling in ut, co, az, wy, nv, and ca last summer, the altimeter was quite accurate. in death valley, there are elevation signs for each 100 feet of elevation, and my altimeter tracked with them very closely.

That would be a shame..you should sell it and put your gauges in its place.
