First gen (88) gas tank skid mounting

I would like some help if anyone could please tell me how the gas tank skid mounts. The FSM appears to show one bracket but it doesnt seem the skid will fit in that configuration. If anyone has one that could maybe get a picture or atleast explain how yours is installed it would be greatly appreciated

Bump, somebody has got to have a OE gas tank skid on. I bought what was supposed to be one for my rig and im starting to think it may not be right. Ive got a skid and 1 bracket.

Thank you for the pictures. Im gonna have another look at it tomorrow. The only change I've made is a new gas tank but it was the same size/configuration when they were sitting out on the ground next to each other. Hope i was just confused when i tried to put it on the first time.
