Hi fellow 4runner members, joined the website a while ago but just getting around to posting after reading a whole lot. So far i have added piaa off-road driving lights on my front bumper and auxillary reverse lights wired into the factory reverse light circuit.
My 2002 Toyota 4runner SR5 4wd had 89k and some change when i even traded my 2009 Toyota Rav4 for it with a local car dealer, he did a new radiator, water pump , timing belt & all drive belts as well as new front brake pads and turned rotors and new brake shoes and turned drums in the rear, He also sand blasted and painted the frame .
The only maintenance i have done so far is a tune-up using oem denso double platinum spark plugs and semi-synthetic oil & filter change with shell rotella t5 10w30 and a bosch distance plus d3422 oversize oil filter..
So far i have put 4,000 trouble free miles on it with many more to come, my only concern is while there are no codes or pending codes i seem to have a overly noisy fuel injector on the driver side of the engine, i have been adding lucas fuel additive to every tank of gas and it seems to be getting better.
Here's to hoping for many more happy miles and being a member of the forum for a long time.
