Greetings from Colorado! This post has been a while in the making.
I ordered a 2015 TEP on 9/11, took final delivery on 9/25, had a great excursion up and around Loch Lomond to Turquoise Lake... Got to try/play with the ATRAC, locker and crawl modes. After running a highly modded and fully locked up 85 CJ7 for years, I must say the T4R is pure comfort on the trail.
Then on Monday 9/29... HAIL! Not the little snail hail that comes with most Colorado storms. These were large nasty golf ball and baseball sized monsters. Ouch... When the ice settled, I had two houses in need of new roofs, screens, windows and a whole lot of paint. But DANG... my new TEP with less than 500 miles, looked like a woodpecker on acid went crazy. Every car at work was toast too. Unbelievable.
Well, she went into the shop in October and just came out before Turkey Day. While she was in, I got the houses fixed and spent many hours reading up on the T4R courtesy of this site. (Thanks!) During that time, I actually spent a whole lot of quality time (commuted) with the wife and rode my bike to work on the good temp days.
The story is not quite over because the shop broke the XM antenna and she needs to go back to have that fixed... more on that later...
