First run.

Had my first run in the machine today and seems a little under power but after driving a 5lt statesman anything would:

So a few questions which might seem dumb but i have to ask.
1. what is the ECT button for and how do i know if it i s working ?
2. ele mirrors are not working any ideas ?
3. exhaust seems to whistle on take off !!! why ?
4. seems to be a shudder (sometimes) on take off when i REALLY boot it ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

No i like them also it helps when the wife and kids need to climb in, little legs don't reach.

Have you tried the Yokohama Geolander in sand ? im due for tyres soon and am starting to look around, i will be letting them down a fair bit,

i live in new mexico and sand is a large portion of what we have... does just fine for me.

I have the same problem with my electric mirrors. Neither side works, they're both stuck in "short driver position" (I'm 6' 1"). Will let you know if I figure it out.

hi i have a 1996 3rd gen hilux surf right hand drive jap spec, the mirrors did not work same as yours , there was no live at the switch ( pink wire with the green stripe in it ) i connected a fused wire straight from the battery + and pushed it in the back of the switch contact block to contact with the pink/green , the mirrors then worked ok so i knew its a live wire problem .

the fix - i removed the kick panel next to the throttle pedal and found the wires from the door to the harness(white block connector).i checked the wire was ok with a multi meter from the block to the switch as it can break as it goes out to the door , it was fine , i then checked if it was live at the block connector - it was not meaning i had a break in the harness somewhere . i could have messed about for hours to find the break in the harness but the easy solution was to jump the live supply off the spot light relay that is next to the block connector and connect it to the pink/green the mirrors now work fine :trophy: hope this helps you
