hi i'm jenni. been driving my 4runner for 15 years. her name is chirp. she has 190,000 miles. i love her. can't even imagine driving a different car.

chirp is a 98 limited edition 4runner but i got her brand new at the end of 97. not sure if that technically makes her a 97?

haven't really made any mods to her...yet. oh but i had her engine rebuilt once at 80,000.

i'm interested in finding a way to retrofit side curtain airbags on her. lately i saw some car crash videos on youtube that scared the chit outta me.

Retro-fitting airbags would be very expensive. If it could be done at all. A rebuild at 80k? What happened? That motor shoulda gone 380k easy with regular maintenance. Anyway love those years of 4rnr. Thinking about getting one to replace my 88 but i just can't seem to let er go.

back in college my engine seized. toyota ended up paying for most of the rebuild. i'm still not 100% sure why it seized. i was driving and all of the sudden everything just shut off. engine wouldn't even try to turn over. i'm religious about oil changes. when they went to rebuild it they actually thought i tampered with the oil cos it was so clean.
