75's or 70's? You'll have a good amount of trimming but not sure if you need the bm chop. I think Zstampe was running 285/70's tg's w/o a bm chop before his BL.

75's....34x11.3, I'm running 70's TG already with no rubbing with my spacer lift. Wanna go up a size tho and just curious what I'm getting myself into. BL, Body mount chop. ect

I would go with 884's, a 1/2" spacer and 5100's at normal height with a 1-1.5" BL and 315's. Do you actually take it offroad?

Medic83 over at 120 fit 285/75/17 Toyo MTs with only a 2.5" lift, HERE. Pretty crazy. Keep in mind the AT will be a lot smaller but but may give you some ideas on where you will need to trim.

What size 315s are you talking about? 315/70/17 perhaps? I recall seeing at least one 5th gen on here running those. Looked really good but I imagine you would have to have the "perfect" offset.

Casper what would the 884 and 1/2 spacer put me at in regards to lift. & yeah she does but by offroading I mean mud. In 3 hunting clubs across nc that have some pretty nasty trails, and also alot of job sites test out the 4wd but no real offroading/flexing........it is NC :whipping2

Do you have a v8 or v6? The 884's and 1/2" will give about ~3". The 884's and 885's have the same spring rate, the 884's are about 1/2" shorter than the 885's. I have a v8 with 885's and 1/2" spacers and got about 3.25" of lift. My 285's rub but only when at full stuff. when I either size up or get new tires, I will chop my bm and trim what I can at full stuff. 315's are on my radar but I can't regear till at least next summer. Might just settle with 305's.

When you size up why not try 295/70/17's? I had those on my silverado and they came out to about 34.5" heigh wise I believe.

I have a v-6 so 884's and 1/2 spacer could possible put me close to your height. But gotta ask why is most against setting the billies @ .85 with 884/885's

I have an v6 and am running 885's with no spacer.....just to confuse you more. Ha ha

I am really wanting to bump up to this size in the Terra Grapplers. Look great and only weight 55lbs. :thumb3: BTW, what 295/70/17 measured 34.5". The most i've seen are the MT, of course, and they're around 33.5-33.6" in diameter. The TG measure 33.2x12.1".

Off Topic: I'm already wanting to go higher but I'm maxed out without adding a BL. Btw, I finally jumped on the boat with the wheel spacers. ha. I actually bought a sold a pair of FJ rims but didn't like them compared to my factory SEs. Which 305's where you looking at? That size has been on my radar as well but I would expect major rubbing. Just PM if you don't want to hijack like me....

Back On-Topoc: I think the reason that most people don't want to run the 5100's at any other setting than factory with any springs besides factory coils is that Bilstein doesn't recommend it. I feel that its no different than running a slightly wider tire on a rim smaller than the recommended range. Manufacturers have to have a cutoff point but probably still well within the margin of safety. Take that for what you want but I have had zero issues in the year or so I've had mine on. But, again, I may be a little biased.
