Fixing lumbar support on driver seat?

On my new-to-me 2005 4runner, I was surprised to find that I have a lumbar support adjust switch on the driver seat. But it's not a power seat - everything else is manually adjusted.

But the switch isn't working. The dealer wants $189 just to diagnose the issue. Another shop wants $120 for the diagnosis.

I just wanted to get an idea of the overall cost if I want to fix it, whatever "it" is - I'm guessing it needs a new lumbar motor in the worse case.

Does anyone have any similar service done on the seat and can give me some ideas of what I might be looking at.

(More than likely I'll just get some simple lumbar cushion and call it a day, but power lumbar support is nice to have).

Any luck with this? Running into the same issue as well on my ‘04 SR5. TIA!

I'd also love to hear if Iron Chef ever got anywhere with this. I've got a 2007 sport, so the driver seat has electronic controls for moving it around, and a button for the lumbar control. Once in a long while it works, but that's very rare, so I tend to just leave it alone, but it would be nice to able to adjust it. I'm tempted to take it apart and fix the switch, assuming it just needs to be replaced, but am worried about causing issues with the air bags :(
