FJ coil pricing / maybe WTB FJ coils

Hello everyone, I'm thinking about swapping the coils on my 05' limited V6 and eventually doing bilsteins in all 4 corners. I have discovered that due to the fact that all the 4runner owners want to buy them, the FJ owners have no problem selling them. I have pinned down a local set and want to know what everyone's opinion is on the price. He wants $120 local pickup. Can I do better if I'm a little patient? Thanks to all those who apply.

THe FJ cruiser forms have a "Want To Buy" section. Go register over there and post what you're looking for. Or look at the "Want to Sell" section and see what they've been going for lately. $120 doesn't seem terrible but it depends on how many miles are on them, what year they're off of and if they have any rust. I think only certain year FJ springs are direct swap. I think it's 07-09 that's direct swap. I hear newer springs require some sort of modification to make them work. I'm not an expert on this, though. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

TigerTownAlum, look search for ARK_SWAMP_RIDER (I think that's the username). ARK has a thread with extensive info about the swap.

As far as prices go, it can go from free to $100 or so. I registered at the FJ forums and posted a WTB thread, but I ultimately purchased my set from someone on craigslist. I paid $80 for a set with about 100 miles on them about a year ago.

I have a set of FJ 07-09 springs for sale. they have 71K on them tho but if you want it $60 bucks plus whatever shipping is.

$120 is a good price since there's no shipping, that typically costs quite a bit. I would prefer a set with under 50K miles. Any year 07+ coils will work, its only the newer shocks that aren't a direct swap.
