FJ front springs vs 5th gen ?

I have searched high and low and I can find that the rear fj springs are about a half in longer and a little heavier coil stock with a 190lb rating vs the 150-180 lb rating that I could find reported on the 5th gen. But I have searched and read through dozens of threads on here, the 4th gen and fj forum but can't find any numbers for the 5th gen front vs the fj fronts.

Anyone had them side by side or seen the numbers?

Took me about 9 pgs to find [MENTION=45399]thebwlife[/MENTION] post about the fjs being the same or weaker than 5th coils . Put some rears on mine & not liking them sunk down pretty good .Not the same as 4th .Putting the orig back n with my 51s Sun . Search n fj coils & you'll find it .

I would not have guessed the rears would be weaker having a higher lb rating.

I will look for that post you are referring to.

Thanks found it. I have read that thread. I saw that post but no real numbers like this is the length and rate of the 5th gen vs this length and rate of the FJ.

Ya ok . All I know for my setup , when I pulled the 5th coils out & set them next to fj no difference in height ! And from what bwlife said sounds like coil rate is less ? So gonna go back in & put the 5th back n . This 5th is heavier .

The 5th weight is about 400-800lbs heavier than the FJ pending on options. That's why they use a "slightly" stiffer spring. Also true 5th gen struts/shocks are valved slightly stiffer.

If the 5th gen has a rear spring that is 14.5" tall and a 180lb rating and the FJ is 14.88" tall with a 190lb rating so how is the 5th gen spring stiffer? I get the shocks might be valved diff. but I am only looking for the spring #'s.

The thing I can't find is concrete numbers on the front springs.
