FJ lift and sliders - seeking advise!

New 4Runner owner here with an 03 4WD and looking for sliders and lift, in that order.

Not looking to break the bank on either item. I have looked into BAMF, which seem to be reasonably priced.

As for lift, my brother suggested FJ springs. Would these work on stock shocks? Are they for front and rear? From what i've seen from Toytec products, most people put a spacer up front and coils in rear. What's the consensus for a cheaper priced lift?

I would look into using Bilstein 5100s along with FJ springs. The FJ springs alone will give your 4runner some lift and the front 5100s are adjustable for more lift. IMHO, that setup rides great. My 4runner gained about 2.5" of lift in the front with FJ springs and the 5100s set to 1.75".

The downside was, in order to get my alignment (specifically caster) back to where the 4runner tracked straight, I had to install aftermarket upper control arms. Not the end of the world but something you should know. I'm using the UCAs from SPC and so far I'm happy with them.

As far as sliders, skids,

Anything from BAMF, Budbuilt, RCI, Metaltech should handle your needs.
