FJ Spring question

I've read on here that there is a difference between the front two springs off the fj cruiser. I was wondering if someone could tell me which is for the left and right sides. I'm installing them soon and want to figure it out before hand. I think the left one is a little longer to support the weight of the battery and gas tank. The struts are allready attached so I can't tell if one is longer than the other. There is paint markings on the springs and hoping that someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance.

thanks for the info! i've got the same ones with the same markings and was wondering the same thing! im going to have to make note of this for when I get around to installing them eventually. Let us know how it goes!

Interesting that the seemingly shorter shock/spring is on the Driver's side. I'm trying to get FJ springs all around for my 4 Bilstein 5100s. Maybe I'll try the longer spring/shock on the Driver's side since I noticed it always seems to settle a bit lower on that side when parked.

On mine, green/gray on the passenger side, green/yellow on the drivers side.

Hmmm... Sharp eye but we saw two different things. I saw a slightly shorter spring on the Grey/Green one. I am pretty sure the shocks are NOT right/left specific.

ARK,
In regards to your aforementioned colors, am I correct to assume that this was after you swapped sides to get rid of the .5" difference between the sides? I wanted to double-check before I fell into the same predicament :thanks:

Yes, colors mentioned were after I swapped. I can look later today to confirm this, but I know I paid not attention to colors before I swapped sides with them due to the lean issue.
