FJ springs + 5100 clarification/advice

I hate to be that guy that beats a dead horse with a stick but I have gotten mixed information. Ive read the numerous threads on the topic and I am in need of a bit of clarification and/or advice.

Heres what I have:
07 4x4 v6 without XREAS

Heres what ordered for my lift:
Front and Rear FJ springs from 2012 4x4 v6
Full set of Bilstein 5100's

From my reading
- Set the fronts to 1.75" add a front .25"-1" spacer to level

Or

- Set fronts to 2.5" add a rear 1.5" spacer to level


Ive heard that I need only a rear spacer even if the front is set at .85". But then again I have read the above setups through the compiled threads.

My question are:
- are my numbers off?
- Net lifts for either of the above setups?
- Better suggestions for the mentioned equipment?

I had that setup previous (FJ plus front spacer). it looks nice and rides better than OEM. your numbers look about right, it was about 1.5" or so up front not much difference in the rear. I also went up in tire size so my numbers are skewed. I still had tire rub with 32.1" tires and wheel spacer.

if you can be persuaded to change your mind, I have the OME 3" now and 1000x happier.
 
Every Vehicle is a little different. I have a 2007 v6 4x4

I have mine at the .8 setting (second setting from the bottom); 5100 and FJ springs all around.

When I installed it it was level at the running boards, but if you had any weight in the back it was nose high.

The FJ springs and the 5100 have been on for two years now and about 30k. Now the rear is always .5 inch lower than the front.

I'm replacing the rear springs and lifting the front more this weekend.

If your keeping the stock tire size this .08 lift isn't bad, I would get some of the thin poly spacers to help with the back.
 
I have a 2006 V6 4WD. Same FJ springs as you. Front 5100's are on the 3rd of 4 settings, no adjustment in the rears. Sits level. No spacers.

I had to set fronts to 1.75" and 1.5" spacer in the rear for level. Some others did this too. Without the spacers, it had some rear rake based off the running boards.

How do you like it compared to XReas? I'm approaching 100k with my 07 and XReas is still good, am just trying to decide whether or not to take em out for the 5100s. Currently have FJ springs all around and 1" spacer up front and 3/4" in the back. I'd like to go another half in the front, but I'm new to my 07, and like the XReas ride so don't know whether to mess with it or not.

Hard for me to say. The XREAS on my truck was shot when I bought it at about 160k miles. Wallowed like a drunken water buffalo.

I love the way it rides with the 5100's and FJ springs. It's very smooth on road and handles great off road too. I don't off road as much as I'd like too (family and work commitments) so they should last awhile. If I was going to be doing more offroading or with heavier loads, I would probably go with Icons.

Do you have any pics? I have 5100's sitting in my living room. Debating sticking with .85 or going your same route. I was figuring that the spacer in back could be smaller...?

The stock running boards have a slight angle to them, so with the forward rake, they're level. Without the spacer, the rear end looks low because of the boards.

Dang.... I really like the look of that. Looks a lot more fun than a boring .85 up front.. What brand of spacer did end up going with?

Oh awesome! Thanks for the info. To clarify, you set your 5100 to 1.75 in the front and had a spacer?

It's the 3rd setting in front and Daystar 1.5" in the rear. AC Delco FJ springs front and rear.
 
Doing the same set up this weekend on my 06 4x4 v6 and trying to debate on the .85 or 1.75 setting with the FJ springs. I have stock Springs and 1.5 daystar in the rear currently

I'm doing stock springs, daystar 1.5 spacer in rear, and 1.85 in front. 2-3 weekends out, still some good skiing here
