CB installed but I don't think I'll have time to get it tuned so hopefully it works ok out of the box and doesn't self destruct. Couple more odds and ends to do. Don't think I'll get to changing the trans fluid either.
There will be a few guys out there with swr meters if you need a tune. Cb's are pretty low wattage and shouldn't damage the radio without tuning, unless your using either no antenna, or one that's not the correct wave length for cb. But, you can potentially double your output range with a good tune.

I'll have my meter with me, be more than happy to help you tune it, I'll be there Tuesday
That would be awesome! Thank you! The beer is on me then. I should be there Wednesday.
I finally tried the cb radio today and it at least receives and transmits ok.
Fun trip.... but breaking that far from home makes fixing things WAY MORE expensive.

Ouch! What trail did you break on? It seems these Toyota ring and pinions break easy. Do the aftermarket ring and pinions hold up better?
Was that a factory ring gear? Were you locked?
Is there any thread online with more pics of the FJ Summit?
