FJ Suspension Question

I've tried searching for the answer, but can't find anything to help me.

I'm relatively new to 4th gen 4Runners. Just picked up my 04 a week and a half ago. I'm already getting the urge to lift it and make it similar to my old 01 4runner.

My question is, can I run a 275/70r17 with the FJC Trail Teams suspension setup? I know it gives a decent amount of lift over stock, but I'm just wondering if I'll be able to clear that size of tire. My other option is the OME Medium suspension, but I'm trying to keep the cost down. I really only need the rig for hunting and fishing, but I'm pretty dead set on running that size tire.

i know of a couple guys on 120 that have run 275/70's stock, and they cleared the wells fine, just had some issues rubbing in reverse and turning, you might also need wheel spacers to clear the upper control arms. if you read the suspension faq sticky, theres a list of tire sizes and corresponding lifts, its a huge help

I'm not sure about the Trail Teams suspension, But I know you can fit them with FJ Coils all around and Bilstein 5100's all around too. If you want most cost effective excluding spacers, this is the way to go i'd say. Around $400 for the shocks and whatever you can find the springs for.

Thanks for the advice. I still have my Spidertrax sitting around from my previous 4R. I'd just like to avoid rubbing as much as possible.

That is what I did and am very happy with the outcome. For me my Spidertrax cost more than my FJ springs and Bills so keep your eyes peeled as people are always looking to upgrade their existing setups.

That lift looks about right. I see you're running a spacer in the rear, Daystar? And I'm assuming you have the front cranked up all the way. It looks nice, only thing is I'll be going with a 275/70 instead of a 275/60.

What size tires are you running in that pic?
