where have most of you found FJ wheels? are you buying them used of CL or purchasing them new? I've been looking into getting some for my 2008 SR5 and painting them black on my own. would be interested to hear the best avenue to get some....

Craigslist and a little luck will be your best bet... Cost to ship a wheel isn't TOO much, a bit of a hassle though.

The PO put these on just before I took over - I love 'em

I really like these wheels. I've been thinking about getting a set for my black 4Runner eventually. Are the black ones like yours a flat/matte black or do they have a glossy black finish?

These are more of a satin finish than glossy, not a hard flat black just a nice non-glossy black. Really easy to keep clean too.

Alright, thanks. I saw a set for sale about 2 hours from me and he described them as matte so I was wondering if there were two different types or if they were all the same finish, sounds like they all are the same. Easy to keep clean sounds nice. The previous owner of mine had some cheap pads put on the front I believe because they dust like crazy. Also, I see that you have the TBU. Do you have the 231mm calipers? If so do they clear those wheels with no spacers or having to grind anything? I was having a hard time finding this out myself, I plan to do the TBU in the near future when I need brakes.

I figured I'd see more people with the 16" 5-spoke ones like mine. Got 5 of these for $125, practically no miles on them and sold my faded split 3 spokes for the same price.

That's why I got my FJ 6 spokes. I needed new tires soon, and wanted to go to 17" and my stock split 3 spokes were just getting old. I got the 4 FJ wheels for $250 and it cost me about $40 in supplies to paint them black. I sold my stock wheels and tires to a local guy for $300, so I broke even. I'm happy!

I got a set of 5 for $100 from a coworker so i couldnt pass up that deal. Plus the 3 split 3 spokes where pretty faded and need new rubber

I'm surprised there's no picture of these. It's like the new modern FJ80 rim

I love these wheels more & more everytime I see them. I want them on my Limited. I think these 5 spoke 16" wheels look better than the 6 spoke 17" ones that come on the 5th Gen 4Runner.
