I just picked up a ser of these and am looking for pics on a 4th Gen. I know some people here have them but couldn't find any pics. If you have them I'd love to see some pics.

TIA!

You'll have to forgive the horrible cellphone pic - I just shot it in our parking lot this morning and it's really overcast. The photo absolutely does not do these wheels justice...

I absolutely love the steelies on my truck. And I really like the offset they provide over the stock 4Runner wheels.

FJC Steelies and Grapefruit juice...

Both of them are sort an "acquired taste." Also some people love them, some hate them, just like grapefruit juice! :D

I love mine. Gives it a "rugged" look that goes against the "mall crawler/Soccer mom" factory look, especially with the BFG MTs.

Here they are when I first put them on (still have the factory front bumper):

With the new front bumper, they look even better!

Thanks for those pics! I hadn't thought of the offset, how do they differ from stock alloys? I'm running 285/75/17's with 1.5" spacers now.

They are an acquired taste, I've been watching for a set of 5 for a while and will get them on at some point. I'm thinking of painting them and have seen them painted gray which looks pretty good. Also thinking of matching my natural white and doing something different with the center caps.

I was searching for info on the backspacing of stock vs FJC steelies and this thread came up. I'd really like to know how the offset compares and what difference I should expect when I put on the steel wheels. I have 285/75/17's and SpiderTrax and would like to ditch the spacers if possible even if it means trimming.

:help:

Hey Chris 2 quik ? How much & where did you get em ? Wait 1 more did you get a 5th for spare ? I would think offset would be minimal huh ?

Hey Mike, I got 5 from a local guy on Cl for $30/each and jumped at the chance. I suspect they're pretty much like the ones I have as far as offset but want to get more info before mounting them since it'll cost me about the same to swap over the tires.

Correct me if wrong. I think they are +15mm offset with 4.5" back space.

I have no idea, I keep finding different numbers when I search. Ideally I'd like to hear from someone running them with the same size tires I have.

Very nice find ! Being kinda of minimalist I'm liking it , since 2 of mine are bent gotta look for some replacements . Those would fit the bill . I can't imagine them being different offset than my FJs ? Which I have no clue on ! Thanks brother

Hey Chris I see they moved you 120 but, I searched "offset" found a nice thread under backspacing ? might help you , I gotta learn how to do all that fancy stuff , where I can pull it up !

No sir it was under a guy asking about lexus gx wheels very cool stuff , apologize for not be able to pull that up . Wheel offset gx470/riflman

Ah, found it and it led me around and I think this is correct.

The FJC wheels should provide almost 1/2" more clearance.

17" 4th Gen wheels
Diameter: 17
Rim Width: 7.5
Bolt Pattern: 6 X 5 1/2"
Offset: 30MM

17" FJC wheels
Diameter: 17
Rim Width: 7.5
Bolt Pattern: 6 X 5 1/2"
Offset: 15MM

Bueno ? Hope it was where you were trying to get ?

That helped, also found more on 120 so it looks like it'll be good. Now to find the cash!

A great alternative to the FJ Steelies is to purchase the regular FJ Wheels (new style) or the 5th gen Toyota Trail Edition wheels and to powder coat them black. (Both are same wheel, slightly different finish)

I bought a new set off craigslist for cheap and had them powder coated matte black.
