not bad for the price

went to costco and came across this, so i gave it a try and bought one. And it is a one bright flashlight and pretty impressive for the price, its even brighter and whiter than my upgraded 3C Maglite led upgrade at a distance of 20 ft.

I used to have a 6-cell maglite but sold it after getting fed up dropping $20 on a new set of batteries.

The best of the new breed of LED flashlights are probably those from Fenix -- many of the models use the new Cree LED module, which is way more powerful and less power hungry than the Luxeon LEDs that most other brands (inlcluding Maglite) use. In fact I've read some reviews that put them up there with the most powerful incandescent bulbs in flashlights like the Streamlight Stinger.

I have a 6 cell maglite. Does the conversion LED bulb work with 6-cell? I saw it worked on the 4-cell. I didn't get the bulb because I afraid the 6-cell will burn it.

BTW: Is it legal to have the 6-cell mag in your car? I heard that it is illegal.
