flat black 4runners

Although I'd rather stick with my factory gloss black paint over flat black any day of the week, Satin black looks KILLER when done professionally. There's a 01-04 Tacoma that I see driving around Vista, CA that has it, and it looks soooo good. He's got 32 or 33's, and it flows. I wouldn't put it on a stock 4runner, but something with a lift and bigger tires would be cool. I have a hard enough time keeping my ride clean, so I know I wouldn't want to d*ck with flat black...

Actually I messed up because the color I was looking for was satin black!

I saw the Tacoma I was talking about that is a Satin Black. Here's a crappy cell phone pic

Damn! That's so sick. I want one right now. You know how much he spent?

naw i'm not sure. i actually don't know anything about the way he does it.

But all i know is that he buys the vinyl and wraps it himself.

He did that runner, and his bmw pictured below v v v

But in view of the runner I think it looks mean as hell but don't think it'd last very long on some trails.

I mean I wouldn't want all these rocks to chip away at the vinyl and **** the whole look. it'll just look "dusty" as what others said in the earlier posts. just my .2cents.

Back in the day it was called black primer. ;):

Definetly need a little shine to it to pull it off or I think it would simply look ghetto but if done right it would look nice.

ok. so i went to subway for lunch. and as i sat there by my lonesome self i was pondering what my 4r would look like all black....

im thinking about doing the plastidip for a day just for the hell of it. i wouldnt even have to mask off any windows...

but removing it all would become a PIA i guess... hmmmm.

My goodness man . . . I implore you not to paint your entire vehicle with plastidip! That would cover up a perfectly good and durable factory paint job

Im with brianemc on this one. Though the flat black looks neat in its own way, nothing looks sharper than a good gloss black paint job for the body of the vehicle
