Im with brianemc on this one. Though the flat black looks neat in its own way, nothing looks sharper than a good gloss black paint job for the body of the vehicle

I would also be concerned about the longevitiy of paint after wrapping it in vinal. How much will it damage the paint or clear coat after 6-12 mo?

Have you thought about having it vinyl wrapped? May be cheaper, and can be reversed if you don't like the outcome.

Vinyl wraps are typically more exspensive than a paint job. We do vehicle wraps at my work and I think it would run about $2000 to wrap a runner. I have clear coat peeling off my roof so I will be doing a flat black roof after the new year.

Wow, thr color is freaking awesome. All you meed is a lift and some 33's. But the truck looks good even where it stands

Coilovers (ToyTec or others) so you can dial in the exact height you want and Tall coils in back, no spacers!

If you want height, go big to start with. I wish I did.

Thanks for the input. The paint job is actually a one stage DuPont Hot Hues Hot Rod Black.

I've been told that it actually protects your paint. A highschool buddy of mine who does wraps as a side job just moved back home and Im am looking into having him wrap my factory black runner a matte gunmetal like on the FJ below. I'll probably keep the roof black so save some dough and cause I think it'd look neat
