Flat platform roof racks comparisons/compilation

its almost as if labor costs money and not everyone has a machine shop or the ability to use CAD  shocker!

It's almost as if sarcasm is helpful In justifying anything. It's not. Shocker!

C.A.D. For a flat roof rack ? Really?

LOL

the try stuff out approach is going to get pretty expensive using 80/20 extrusions, that stuff adds up

Shameless plug - I'm selling a 3/4 Frontrunner rack with an 8" extension and ARB awning on here. With the extension you get more usable space but still don't need to drill in the front of the 4R. I love the rack but I'm moving to a Tundra so I'm looking to part out the 4R. Never loaded anything on it so no scratches, etc. Comes with RTT mounts too.

That looks good, but I really want the full length.

Are you sure you can't transfer that onto the new Tundra?

Wow, I really am having a hard time wrapping my head around how expensive these items are. I guess if people are willing to pay ...then might as well gouge.

As someone who is pretty handy, and has a few tools, I'll be making my own interpretation. Even with the 6061 aluminum, stainless hardest, and making my own mounts, I might spend a few hundred.

Hell, just go to the 80/20 site and make one for half these prices. Wtf

Someone already has. It's called the Prinsu rack.
