Flickering display

On my way to work this morning, I noticed that half of the screen under the stereo (the one with the clock, MPG, and A/C display)was flickering slightly and darker than the other half. I've never seen it do that before. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Thanks! I'll try cleaning the contacts and if that doesn't work I'll replace the bulb. Was the bulb easy to find or did you need to order it from the dealer?

I"m thinking that since it goes in like a screw... it might be loose. The lightbulb comes with the plastic screw on piece..(you'll know when you see it.. it's beige) anyways, it was a special order and it took 2 days to get it in. Dealership wanted to charge me CAD$90 for parts and labor.. so I went and spent 5 bucks, 15min. and did it myself.

if you don't want to do this anytime soon for the LCD display.. buy two bulbs and do em both!

I poked around Partznet but didn't see the bulbs. Did they come from the dealer or another website?

Thanks for your help!

dealer.... partznet isn't going to stock these things. You're not going to save much on a $5 bulb assembly but buying it online.

Oh ok, I'll check the dealer then. I was just suprised you could get something out of a car dealer's parts department for under 10 bucks!

All I did to fix this was lift the little wires on the bulb assembly that contact the unit. This fixed the problem for me.

yea... I think that's what I put on my first thread.

check the connections of the bulb.. or buy a new one. You have the thing open.. why not just replace it anyways. Just my thought.
