Hey all, I bought this 2004 back in September of last year. Was a single owner in NH. When I bought it I new it had rust but the underside looked clean. The dealer must have had it coated to sell as most of the coating has flaked off. I attempted to remove the running boards last year but the bolts where so seized I gave up. Now the brackets for the boards have rusted and cracked and the boards bounce and rattle. Now I have this rust hole in the floor board that I can see light through. I really love this truck but now with frame and body rot I don't know what to do. The engine only has 105k on it which is nothing but the this is rusting away around the engine. Is this a known issue also in regards to rust? I know the frames do but I haven't see much on body rot on gen 4's. Any input would be gladly appreciated.
