Where exactly should I use a floor jack on the frame?

It depends on what part of the truck your working on basically anywhere on the frame except the small tube under the radiator is pretty safe but if your just jacking to remove the wheels than go on the rear diff then on each lower control arm and always use jack stands

i usually jack in the center like shown and jackstand on the front side where shown above. Always been solid for me.

honestly not sure. I have never used the oil pan drain plug and i have skid plates over that whole area. But you really want to jack it on the cross member running across the truck.

I put a 2x4 on the jack, line it up with the crossmember and jack it up. I have a skid plate over the crossmember so i just put the board on the plate and jack away.

hey [MENTION=89415]Stuck CAPS[/MENTION] - I bought a pair of 6 ton jack stands, makes reaching the frame height of a lifted truck much easier than the 3 ton ones I had laying around, JFYI. I usually jack like everyone else suggested if I'm pulling two wheels, if just one i usually just do it from the frame rails closest to the wheels.

That front skid plate has reinforced area, you can see it, it is a round hole sort of. It reaches up and touches a crossmember under the skid plate when you jack from there.

Wish I could say this was useful now, but really not anymore. Was supposed to install suspension today, but it fell through, because upon inspection of my FJ shocks, I need to replace the bushings on the lower mount :ybrick:. Hopefully I remember I posted this next weekend, maybe even next.

They're cracked all the way through to the other side lol... I need to buy some new ones. Any idea on what size bushing?
