I am in the market for a new floor jack. I want one that goes tall enough so that i don't need to use 3-4 pieces of 2x4 to get the truck off the ground. Open to suggestions & ideas.
I read that one. The option suggested was the arcan one from Costco. Unortunatly I don't belong to Costco, and I bet there are more options. I looked at that arcan one fom other vendors and the shipping kill the price.

I figure most 3 1/2 ton jacks should do it for you, unless its specifically labeled "low profile". I picked one up at my local hardware store. It was branded Michelin, $200 but I got it half price. Heavy sum ***** too, lifts plenty high. Couldn't be happier with it!
My previous jack was just like that Arcan, but another brand from a local hardware store I used to work it. The new one (from HF) is WAAAAAAAAAY better.
I have this one, not the best quality but gets the job done. I am able to lift from the frame rails and get the tires well off the ground with an old man emu 3" lift. Get some hydraulic jack oil and keep it topped off.
