Floor Mat Clips came out

So the actual metal or plastic rings in the carpet of the driver's side appear to have come out and I can't get them back in. Any ideas how to reinstall new ones in the carpet? I don't think I can clip my Weathertech hard plastic mats in there without that ring

I haven't unbox my weathertech, but you might need to use those velcro strips, I know they make those ring replacement things for plastic tarp.

I had the same thing happen to me and I replaced it in order to get my weather tech floor mat to hook into it.
If I remember correctly, there is a large plastic washer type piece with a female connection that the clip mates with. I ordered the new washer piece and the clip. I had to take my driver seat out to be able to fish the washer underneath the carpet. I used zip ties and fished them through the hole where the clip goes to an opening in the carpet. I put the washer clip on the zip tie, connected the zip ties together making a loop or a complete circle. Then just simply rotated the zip ties till the washer came to the opening in the carpet, cut the zip tie leaving the washer in place and the clipped the hook portion into the female connector on the washer…
Hope that makes sense… it’s not a difficult fix more annoying then anything

I had to get the 2 grommet clips off ebay ! Toyota dealer near me said they were no longer made ?

Anyway the first one i fished in and pressed together. The second i could fit the base in because the carpet hole was so big. I wonder if i should try to close that up. Maybe sew it ? Thanks for the help

looks like part is 58297-50020 RETAINER FLOOR.
