floor pan replacement

Drivers side floor pan is rusted out...what guage metal should be used? A:shrug::shrug:lso around the mount bolt there is a oval plate that is very visible because of the rott but the bolt
will not come out. I cannot salvage this plate..looked on line to find this piece but it does not show up in any grahpics. I think the plate goes under the floor above the bushing? and the bolt ties everything in. Any ideas out there?

Being that it's your floor pan. I'd go with either 16 or 18 gauge sheet. I've used plenty of 18 gauge sheet for more rigid areas on the VW Bus I'm restoring. If you're using it for body panels, 20-22 gauge will be fine for that.

Post up some pictures so we get a better feeling for what you're dealing with.
