Is $95 for a flowmaster installed a good price? Is the flowmaster louder or magnaflow? Also does anyone have the gibson catback?I was looking at the borla set up,but toooo expensive , but they have a universal muffler that u can ask the muffler guy to do the set for alot less. The muffler guy told me dual exhaust is very loud , is it? I just like the look. any comments would be appreciated. I also asked before is the taco 4.0 the same as the 4runner if so do they use the same headers.

No, stick to the Vortex muffler from burtmanindustries.com.

not to burst your burtman endorsing bubble, but there is literally a million choices in muffler's out there. If you getting just a muffler, its going to be for sound, so try to go online and find sound clips. Is the vortex even SS - I can't find anygood info on it which tells me something.

Flowmasters are chambered mufflers and sound sort of throaty/tingy/echoy if you can picture that due to the chambered effect. I personally loved the sound until my mustang and everyother damn one has them. I love the sound of Dynomax race mufflers and Magnaflow mufflers, both of which are a straight through mufflers which I like.

I have also tried the Hooker Aerochamber which gives a great low end sound, but its really heavy and sounds "whiney" on the top end.

I think one of my favorite I have ever heard on a street app n/a setup is the Bassani race mufflers. Any Bassani muffler you will be more than happy with and the quality is bar none. If I don't like my magnaflow I am going to switch to a Bassani.

I love my flowmaster exhaust. It's awesome. I find that Flowmaster is louder than my boss magnaflow. It's also got a deeper sound. With my k&n FIPK intake kit and custom flowmaster dual exhaust (super 40 series) i've got a 22 hp and 32ft gain at the wheels. Plus it's SUPER LOUD!! Guys with muscle cars ask what i've got under the hood!!

I did it at my school (BCIT) so there were no sheets printed. We did it as a project. I know that you probably don't believe me, to be totaly honest i didnt' really believe it too untill i say teh computer readout.

Well, you'll have to excuse my doubt, but 10-12% gains from a cat-back exhaust sound way high. I wish my Magnaflow would've given me 30+ HP, but in all reality it just wouldn't happen and if a machine told me it did, I'd be extremely skeptical. Tell me more about this BCIT.

Just go the the website. www.bcit.ca It's the number one tech school in western canada. and again, i had doubts with the readings too. but we did put athother car on the dyno, one that was dynoed somewhere else, and it gave the same readings. I expected that wiht a intake and custom exhaust, if i was lucky, and extra 10hp would be great. But according to the dyno at schoo, i had a larger gain.
