Fluid change question for diff. and transfer

Just bought my first 4runner. It has 126,000 miles on it. Doesn't look like any of the fluids have been changed. I read the 3 page post on the rear differential. A lot of people are using a synthetic. Is it safe to use a synthetic with the mileage on the vehicle? Any possibility of leakage in the gaskets?

Also, I have found youtube videos on the transfer case and rear diff. but not on the front. Any body have a link? I'm new to all this.

Dont worry about the fluid in the front diff. It shouldn't need it, the only miles that have been put on it is in 4 wheel drive. Unless of course it is the AWD

I used full synthetic mobil 1 and have not had any leaks at all. I did go to the dealer and get new crush washers/seals for the plugs. so no, no issues here I had about 170,000 when i changed them
