I am coming up on 10K miles on my '08 V8 and am curious about oil options. I have heard of Amsoil and Mobil 1 forever and am trying to weigh the cost difference VS any gains. Any reason not to stick with the Toyota brand oil that the dealer uses?
I was also having a conversation about ways to improve MPG (however minimal) with the owner of the shop where I had the exhaust done and he recommended going to full synthetics in the diffs around 10,000 miles. Anyone have any experience here?
Anything else a good idea to change at the 10K mile check-up?
