Hello,
Thought it about time to quit trying to re-invent the wheel on my own, and join a forum to gain a little knowlege on our relatively new (to us) truck. I come from the v-8 side of the performance world where there are carbs, and no computers...I am a fabricator that builds chassis' and drag type stuff for straightline cars. I have in the past done some off-road fab work, but nothing in the import world. We bought this truck (94 4Runner) after gas prices just got to the point of crazyness, and have done OK with the modifications that have netted an almost ten mile to the gallon increase (17 ish when I started to 27 now). Am doing the hub conversion next, hoping to put me over the 30mpg mark...? just got the truck out of the paint booth with a new coat of Corvette "Black Rose", and due to road trips through an area with LOTS of deer...a new bumper I built to ward off Bambi smashing the front end...hopefully I'll never test it, but it's there in case the event presents itself. A full cage is in the near future to keep occupants safe.
