Fog light help!

So my passenger fog light is not functioning and im not sure why... when i got my oil changed a while back i had the place check it and there is power everywhere all the way up to the housing and then its gone... so is there a way to fix it without buying a new one or is it done?

Well, if there's power up to the housing and then gone, that's a good start. I haven't ever taken the actual fogs apart, but they're easy enough to remove. Take it out and take it apart. See if you can find any problems like corrosion or such.

is ur bulb burned out?

there are 3 bolts holding the light housing to the bumper.

then there are 4 screws holding the glass cover over the bulb.
there are 2 screws (i think) on the bottom holding the bottom bowl onto the housing. it all just falls apart and the bulb it right there. very simple.

the bulbs arent burnt out cuz when i first got the runner both foglights werent working and i replaced the bulbs and both of them worked fine and then 2 weeks later my passenger side one went out and the bulb is perfectly fine...

So you're saying that bulbs you install can never burn out? Have you checked the bulb you installed since it stopped working? Try another new bulb. If it works, then you may have something going on that's blowing your bulbs prematurely.

I agree. Swap the bulbs and start there. If it still doesn't work, yank the whole assembly out.

and the bulb is perfectly fine...

are you saying this because you replaced them 2 weeks ago or you once again took it apart recently (since it stopped working) and checked it?

like the others have said. take the driver side off and pug it into the passenger side to see if it lights up. i know what we are saying is redundant and simple but it clarification for us since we are not there to look know all the details and what you have done.

What I meant is when I replaced the bulbs when I got the car, it worked for two weeks and then it stopped working again and I checked the bulb but it was fine

I been having the same issue and on the same side as well. My fog light on the right side goes out. its weird. If i tap on it hard enough, it lights up. super weird. not sure what it might be lol what was your issue? im thinking of taking it apart completely and checking it. The bulb was replaced not too long ago.

Not weird at all. You have a bad bulb or loose connection. Tapping is causing the filament to touch or loose connection to touch. Inspect and clean all connections, make sure they are tight and double check the bulb again.

Oil change guy told you that "power" was there, but I bet he didn't check the ground, might be a good place to check
