fog light help

I have an 08 4runner. Driver side fog light is giving me problems. I have replaced bulb 4 times within 6 months. Last bulb lasted 1 week. Even bought zxe bulbs to match headlights. Did this thinking might just be cheap bulbs. When I undid this last bulb it looks like moisture is in the assembly part. Whatever is causing it, the bulbs are actually blowing apart. Question is this: Do I need to replace the assembly or is it a wiring issue?
If I need to change out the assembly how do you do it?
If wiring how do I do that?

Looking for recommendations.

its the bulbs, the Sylvania bulbs like to go out most of the time, all I read back then was the silverstar buring out, pretty sure the new ones are just like the old ones. you can put leds or hids, add some film like amber or yellow, it will cut down some glare from hid bulbs. atleast for me with the amber film and 3000k hid kit, the glare has been reduced.

I have similar problem on my passenger side and am convinced it's due to a bad housing (rock hits or whatever over time). I see lots of condensation inside the passenger side housing, and bulbs only last a short time for me as a result, before they fail. I'm looking to replace the housing itself this time, then bulbs after...as I think I'll just keep blowing bulbs unless I replace the entire housing. When I remove it, I'll try to thoroughly inspect it of course.

Switch over to hid or led.

An halogen bulb can fail due to vibrations or shock from something hitting the housing as why we shouldn't shake a halogen bulb prior to installing it. (Just like house light bulbs)

Hid or led does not rely on that metal wire loop filament so it will die prematurely in the sense of a halogen would.

If an hid or led are to burn out prematurely as well, then we have isolated the fact it is your wiring. At this point. I suggest running a relay harness from the battery to your fog and connecting it to your fog harness. This will bypass the power and use the fog harness as a signal only and using a direct current from the battery (which is being fed by the alternator while running)

not sure if this helps: I bought the cheapest ebay yellow bulbs, they lasted one week. then I found JDM bulbs and they have been in there for months.

I also say go LED for multiple reasons: less draw on the whole system, don't have to worry about cleaning them after handling them, far more reliable than any incandescent type of lamp, brighter than HID in most cases, less heat than any other lighting opton available. And with prices becoming comparable to HID online, kind of a no brainer. Oh, did I mention they have longer life?
