Has anyone ever put the I think tacoma type fog lights into a 4runner before? I think I've seen a picture somewhere or on a forum where they cut into the plastic bumper and installed them. I would really like to do the same thing on my truck. If anyone has done that mod or seen it or can give me any pictures or info on it please send it my way I really want to put fog lights on my truck :)

i bought mines with Piaa fog lights on by circular cutting out the bottom of the plastic bumper. but somehow the fog lights dont work. i followed the wires and its quite hard to chase it through. theres wires running in places i cant reach or see. At the bottom of my 4runner theres a box zip tied to the frame im sure its with the fog lights but why. in my shoes though i wish they didnt cut the bumper. im thinking about ripping out those foggs but they might also be connected to other electrical. kinda complicated in my opinion

I take it no one has seen or heard of this? >_< I really want to make it look like its part of the bumper. I don't want to add those cheap looking lights..

Look for a Limited front valence from a 96-98 4Runner. Dealer installed option to have fog lights installed where you see them in this picture. I'm assuming this is the look you are going for?

That would be my last resort but I'm looking to do something like this. I'm hoping someone has info on this mod.

Hit up Jason Burtman burtmanindustries.com and see what he can do. They're long discontinued so it'll be hard to find good luck!

Actually he still has them. I have been debating for a while whether or not I should get this, since I wanted extra lights, but I also didn't want them to be in the way or have to drill into the bumper.

Atreyus - If you do decide to get this lower valance, please post some pics up when you have it installed.

which one is it exactly? or can you post a link to it and how much it cost? I will gladly post pictures if I decide to get it.

holy sh!t!! are those TE37's on a 4Runner?
:bluejump:
Yeah, There are two type of TE-37s, the ones you see and the gravel type which is more of a flat face, let me try and see if I have pics of my friends Tacoma with his TEs...on a side note, they have ROTAs too since these TEs are just crazy expensive!

I would have never thought to do that but they look soooo good

thanks for the link, but that is really expensive for me lol. I might as well cut into the plastic and put in those lights myself. >_<

The idea of cutting the valance and housing my Hella Micro DE Xenons realized.
